Happy Summer, officially! We've been lounging around like it's been summer for a couple of months now here in Toronto. I think we basically skipped spring altogether and jumped right into hot weather. The other day, after the kids were in bed, we sat in the backyard having dessert and chatting under the strung up lights until we could feel the dew starting to settle.
We thought back to where we were last year during the summer solstice--the Yukon, for Sean and Jeni's wedding, where we experienced the longest, sunniest days of the year possible and where the sky never actually got dark. What a weird feeling! Hard to believe that every day after this will start getting a little shorter...
