This girl.

It sort of blows my mind that this little darling will be turning one soon.  Was it really almost a year ago that your grand entrance into the world changed each of our lives (again) for the better!  And as you get bigger and that massive personality comes out, it feels like I fall more and more in love with you, if that could even be possible.

Some of the things that you do keep us laughing and smiling  You:
  • love eating any bit of paper in the house.  The dog doesn't eat our homework, but you eat our bills, mail, magazines.  I find chew marks on the corner of any given page.
  • love eating dog food.  It's as if I am not constantly feeding you every hour.  As if there aren't a million cheerios on the floor to choose from, but the dog's food is so much more interesting.  And the dog's water bowl.
  • think you are a dog.  You find socks and carry them around in your mouth then hold them up to me panting proudly.
  • love to clap for yourself.  Yay!!
  • are talking.  Mama, Dada, Doggie, and I swear I heard you repeat a two-word sentence yesterday and look at me proudly and with accomplishment.
  • think Gabriel is your hero.  It doesn't seem to matter how many scratches, bites, how much rough-housing he does with/to you, if he is in time-out (because of any said behaviour) there you are crawling up to him with those big adoring eyes trying to lure him out to play with you.  You love to make him laugh and chase you.
  • are a drama queen.  Whether you are hurt, looks like you might be getting hurt or sick, the world must know of your plight with all the loudness and strength your voice can muster.
  • have the most adorable, unique Madonna gap between your two front teeth.
  • love stuffies more than anything!  You love to nuzzle them right into your face and then giggle.  And for some reason teacups, plates and the play kitchen are where you spend most of your time when you aren't pulling books off the shelves or trying to climb the stairs or get into the dog food.
  • cannot wait for bathtime to play with Gabriel in the tub.  You fly onto your back and slip all over the tub like a seal and make big splashes much to everyone's delight.
Oh Maggie!  You are so fun and such a joyful addition to our family. I cannot imagine life without you!  You are truly beautiful you know.
