Hello and Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful Easter holiday with your families or friends. For us here in Toronto, Monday is not a holiday, but in some other parts of the country it is. So while you are sleeping in (I scorn you) and slowly sipping coffee (again, slightly jealous), we are rushing off to school and back to work and real life with chocolate hang-overs and sifting through the pictures from the weekend. It was a pretty great one!
Saturday evening, it snowed, so we awoke to a winter wonderland (in Gabriel's mind). He shrieked with delight and pulled on his coat and boots to go play in the snow. Meanwhile, the Easter bunny visited hiding eggs inside (this time) and some treasure only to be located by a "Bunny's Big Adventure" map. We put on our binoculars to see what treasures we could find. Maggie mostly wandered around having eggs thrown into her basket, but her new word of the day was "chocolate" while it dripped down her chin and smudged all over her clothing.
I honestly have no idea what we used to do at Easter before we had
children. I think we went to services and had dinners and probably ate
chocolate. My brain doesn't go back that far. But with the little
ones, it is so much fun, really. We spent a lot of time with family
this weekend. Over for a Good Friday brunch with the cousins which you
can see here. And then
more family arrived for the rest of the weekend. Lots of amazing
dinners, lots of laughs and plenty of good fun finding and eating
chocolate.
