Decisions. So many decisions. Where to live? Where to work? Pets.
Children. Mortgage. Travels. Purchases. Faith. Each decision has
taken us on an incredible journey. And with so many decisions behind us,
we find a flurry of new decisions as we venture of on the beginning of a
new path.
After many long discussions, prayers, pros/cons lists, humming and hawing, we have made the decision to jump on a career opportunity of a lifetime for Jordan. With it, new adventures and many loose ends to tie. Although it means leaving behind some incredible friends and our peaceful little nook that we have carved out for ourselves in the world, I am reminded that just when we start to get comfortable is generally a time when we need to start stretching ourselves so that we can continue to grow.
Washington, DC. For us, this means a 6-month to 1 year rental, finding a house-sitter for our house in BC, taking a leave from my job, considering new possibilities, raising a family, pursing new interests, making new friends, building a new community.
And so to mark new beginnings, a new blog. "Magnolia Coasts: Stories. Photographs. Travels. Favorites"--one I hope to share with both new and old friends and family. Enjoy!
